Elite Moving Crew Inc. (“Elite Moving Crew”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Information we collect

When you request a quote, we collect the information you enter in the form:

• your name, email address and phone number;
• your current address and destination address;
• your preferred moving date and the type of residence you’re moving from and to;
• the number of boxes, whether you need junk removal, furniture assembly or disassembly, or TV mounting, and the major items to be moved;
• any comments or special requests you add.

Collected automatically with a quote request: your IP address, the type of browser and device you used, and the page you submitted the form from. We keep these with your request to help prevent spam and misuse of the form.

When you contact us directly by phone or email, we collect whatever information you choose to share.

Cookies and tracking: this website does not set cookies for visitors and does not use analytics or advertising tracking tools.

How we use your information

• to prepare and send you a moving quote;
• to contact you about your move by phone, email or text message;
• to schedule and carry out the services you book;
• to keep business records, including for accounting and tax purposes;
• to protect our website against spam and misuse.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them.

Your consent

By submitting a quote request or contacting us, you consent to our collecting and using your information for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. If you do, we may not be able to provide a quote or our services.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only when needed to run our business, and only with:

• Service providers who help us operate this website and communicate with you, such as our website hosting provider and the email service that delivers quote requests to our inbox. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
• Google: this website loads its fonts from Google’s servers, and the reviews on our homepage show reviewers’ profile photos from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser information when you visit a page. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Trustindex: the Google reviews shown on our homepage are displayed using a service from Trustindex, which loads images and styling from its own servers. Trustindex receives your IP address and browser information when you view that page. See Trustindex’s Privacy Policy.
• Authorities, when we are required to by law.

Our website links to our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube pages and to our Google reviews. Once you follow those links, those companies’ privacy policies apply.

Where your information is stored

Information submitted through this website is stored on the servers of our website hosting provider. Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. When that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its authorities.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for up to 24 months after your last contact with us. We keep records of moves you book for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes, which in Canada is generally six years. After that, we securely delete the information.

How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS) on this website and access limited to the people who need it to do their work. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any issue.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you access to it;
• correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
• stop using your information, by withdrawing your consent.

To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
